The countdown to the ROM drives me nuts every single day, because this budding bride-to-be worries about every minute detail, right down to the material of the table runner and the species of lilies to use (aha that's the first giveaway!). So while I stalk the www.singaporebrides.com for inspiration, I also look out for upcoming wedding shows and seminars to learn more about wedding details which are visible only to the professionals. Thanks to DoWed and their informative seminar, this pair of bride and groom has more reason to make an impact with our wedding.
Throughout the seminar, DoWed's founder Sherwin kept emphasizing the need for couples to remember why they fall in love and decide to get married, and inject these factors into the theme that runs through the wedding. "Don't do something for the sake of doing it, or because everyone else is doing it," Sherwin mentioned, no doubt with a hint of disgust. "Don't cut the plastic cake just because they told you to."
Apart from their wedding planning services (from $2,500 onwards), they offer a whole range of services with their vendors to make the wedding planning process a lot less daunting for the couple. Sherwin even recommended his personal trainer to the crowd for those in dire need of a last-minute flab fix. Talk about comprehensive.
Were we swayed? Yes, our hearts were set aflutter and our eyes grew wet watching the wedding vids by DoWed Media, but it was too much of a commitment at this point. Hotel Intercontinental could have been the perfect banquet location, but our only pity was that it could not satisfy our seating capacity requirement.
We might have left with empty hands, but our hearts and minds were satiated by DoWed.
